Couple With 13 Sons Says They Won’t Stop Trying Until They Have A Daughter

A couple Irineu Cruz and his wife Jucicleide Silva have been trying for the past 20 years to conceive a daughter without success. They have 13 sons ranging from 1 month to 18 years old. When the couple got together, they planned that the mother would name the girls while the father named the boys. The father has named 13 of their children who are all boys while the mum is yet to name any child because they don’t have a daughter yet. And the woman says she will continue to bear children until she gets a daughter. During Jucicleide Silva’s first pregnancy, the couple agreed that the dad would name the boys and Mum, the girls. But the couple has since christened all 13 boys after famous footballers, all beginning with the letter “R”.The family, who live in Concei ao de Coit , Brazil, hoped their thirteenth child would be a game-changer, but instead the midwife announced it was yet another boy. Irineu who is a 40 year old farmer said: “I’ve always admired players like Rivaldo, Roberto Carlos, Ronaldinho and Robinho. all the best footballers seemed to have a name beginning with R . so as more and more boys came along, I decided to celebrate South American football by naming my sons after the players I liked.”The family’s newest addition has been christened Ronaldo after the former Brazil star.

Police remove late King Birendra's statue installed in Nepalgunj

September 2nd, 2016 :
The half-figure statue of late King Birendra Shah installed at Dhambojhi Chowk in Nepalgunj that led to an altercation between the police and by pro-monarch supporters has been pulled down by security personnel on Thursday around midnight. An all-party meeting held yesterday decided to remove the former king's statue. The security personnel intervened as the royalists and supporters of Hindu state erected the bust by hoodwinking the administration. Police had initially given permission to an organisation named Rastrabadi Yuwa to hoist the national flag in the area.

"They (pro-monarch supporters) had said that they would hoist the national flag at the chowk but they installed the statue. This created tension in the area and after the all-party meeting decided to remove the statue, the police brought it down," said SP Tek Prasad Rai. The police had tried to remove the statue yesterday itself which led to a clash with pro-monarch supporters including cadres of Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal and youths affiliated to Hindu outfit Shiva Sena. The police resorted to lathicharge twice to disperse the crowd.

Don't wear skirts - this piece of advice is in the list of dos and dont's handed to tourists on their arrival in India, Union Minister Mahesh Sharma has said. (Audio in Hindi)Don't wear skirts - this piece of advice is in the list of dos and dont's handed to tourists on their arrival in India, Union Minister Mahesh Sharma has said.

Mahesh Sharma, India's tourism minister, is backing away from recent comments about what visitors should wear. Over the weekend, while promoting a welcome kit for visitors to India Sharma said, quote, "There's a card in there listing the do's and don'ts. Basic things like, 'Don't go out at night alone.' 'Don't wear skirts.'" Controversy followed. A rash of sexual assaults against foreign woman has been a bane to India's tourism. Sharma has since tried to clarify, saying, "I am a father of two daughters...I would never tell women what they should wear or not."
